Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between NMB Bank and the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA)

Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority signed MoU with NMB Bank for cooperation in three major areas which were Investment promotion and Facilitation, strengthening online investment registration system and exchange of the investors information.

The signing of the MoU was taken place at Hotel Verde on 9th May 2023. Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority was represented by Mr. Shariff Ali Shariff., Executive Director and NMB Bank was represented by Ms. Ruth Zaipuna, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Honorable Mudrik Soraga, Minister of the State, President office, Labour, Economic affairs and Investment.

On his remark, the minister has insisted the importance of the digital transformation in the provision of the efficient services to the customers as stipulated in the Zanzibar Development Plan (ZADEP 2020-2026).
