The Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority ZIPA is in the process of implementing road infrastructure project in Micheweni Free Zone Area

The Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority ZIPA is in the process of implementing road infrastructure project in Micheweni Free Zone Area in North Pemba Region. The project will constitute the construction of 13.5 kilometres of road.

Micheweni is in the Free Zone area with a total of 808.8 hectares which will be utilized for various investment opportunities in the form of hotels, real estate, factories, financial institutions, sports grounds and fishing port just to mention a few. This project is a catalyst to ensure all other basic amenities such as electricity, water will be available to improve the investors experience in Pemba.
